Process

Prep for your session

Any hair removal should be done 24-48 hours beforehand.

Exfoliate the day or night before – no matter the quality of the spray tan, if your skin is dry and scaly the result will look patchy and uneven as the tanning solution clings to areas of dryness. Exfoliating takes all of the dead skin cells off, leaving the perfect canvas for the tan to stick to.

Be au naturel; don’t use moisturiser, deodorant or perfume, and no makeup on the day of your tan.

Moisturise in the lead up, the more moisturised your skin is, the better the final result and the longer your tan will last.

Hydrate, drink plenty of water.

During your session

For a full body tan, clothes are removed or you may wish to wear underwear or togs to match tan lines. Note, the spray solution washes out of clothing. I supply disposable g-strings if wanted.

The tan is gently sprayed on and you will feel a light cool sensation on your skin.

Each part of the body is done separately, before moving to the next area.

It is optional to have your face sprayed, however the tan will appear far more natural if the face is included.

The spray tan process takes approximately 5 minutes, then the skin surface is gently dried with a warm air dryer.

Afterwards, wear loose comfortable clothing, avoiding white items whilst the tan dries completely.

After your session

I use rapid tan solutions which means you can rinse the bronzer off after just 2 hours, no sleeping in the tan required. After your rinse the tan will continue to develop and darken over the next 12 hours.

To prolong your tan, it’s recommended to moisturise well daily.

For even fading of your tan, avoid foaming body wash and scrubs, pat the skin dry after showering or bathing.

Swimming in chlorinated or sea water will cause the tan to fade faster.
